Transfagarasan is believed to be one of the most beautiful roads in the world ( at least according to Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear ? ) at an elavation of more than 2000 meters. However, while building the road in 1970s, according to some sources, hundreds of workers have died (official number is 40, but one can never trust communist statistics ??‍♀️).
